PHOTOS: Athlete weds his fiancée eight months after he had all four limbs amputated

In sickness and in health! A former Illinois high-school athlete tied the knot with his fiancee just eight months after losing all four limbs to a life-threatening infection. Ethan Menges, now 25, collapsed in January 2015 after going to see a Chicago Bulls game. He had staph pneumonia, an aggressive infection that took over his lungs and blood.
Doctors put him on life support, which directed Menges' blood flow towards his vital organs and away from his arms and legs.

The procedure saved Menges' life but cost him his limbs, which doctors had to amputate in September.
