The traditional rulers made-up of district heads from Kaura Local Government Area had during a complaint to the member representing their area, Hon Yakubu Bityong Nkom said the non-payment was worrying. According to the district heads, no government officials in the Local Government have addressed them adding that because of the non-payment, life was difficult for them.
Hon Yakubu Bityong Nkom on his
response sympathized with the traditional rulers and advised them to
write to the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly to enable
members to make a resolution advising the executive arm of the
government for possible payment.
Hon Yakubu who
acknowledged that some Local Governments in Kaduna State are paying
their district heads, added that only the executive arm of government
can bring solution to what some traditional rulers are facing in Kaura.
