This time the Oscar winning actress was followed by the fashion bible
to her homeland of Kenya for an incredible colourful and printastic
shoot. Lupi looks striking on the cover looking undeniably African as she
declares that, “she wants to create opportunities for people of colour”.
And she does that! Vogue is notoriously hardlined when it comes to
what goes into their magazine so it was refreshing to see that in the
sea of Chanel, Givenchy, Roberto Cavalli, Missoni, Prada and Phillip Lim
pieces she rocked for the spread, she also repped African designers,
rocking a Duro Olowu coat and a handkerchief dress from Ghanaian
designer Kiki Clothing.
The “African print” themed shoot also features her grandmother, parents and women from her village of Luo.
