Women vote for the first time in Saudi Arabia’s Historic Elections

Saudi Arabia’s municipal election will go down in history as a victory for Saudi Arabian women. It will be the first time women will be allowed to vote and stand as candidates in a country that is notoriously conservative. Nonetheless, female candidates haven’t been allowed to openly campaign. They’ve been mandated to speak behind partitions or have men speak for them. The results of the election are expected tomorrow.
