spectacular achievements, who through their natural and material
endowments have promoted the status of Nigeria amongst other countries
of the world. Hence, having contributed to the status of Nollywood with
the efforts she put into producing two immaculate movies that have
accrued massive accreditation, Omoni Oboli has met up with The SunAwards’demands.
Speaking, while presenting the letter of notification to the actress
in Lagos, notifying her of the award, the Managing Director/
Editor-in-Chief of The Sun Publishing Limited, Mr. Eric Osagie, said
Oboli won the award for her hard work and dedication to acting. He added
that it took the Board of Editors two days of rigorous debate, and they
still could not find anyone who has been dedicated as Omoni Oboli in
2015.
The screen diva, who has worked hard nonstop in the past two
years in promoting Nollywood said; “For me, it’s more of a blessing,
because, first of all, I don’t know anybody in The Sun. I don’t know the
Managing Director or even the Entertainment Editor. Out of the blues, I
saw my name in the newspaper that I’ve won the Nollywood Personality of
the Year Award. It’s so big, and I’ve not lobbied or given anybody
money for this. It’s an award that’s totally unsolicited, it’s an award
money cannot buy.
