A man has expressed his surprise after his snake gave birth to no fewer than 36 baby snakes. The reptile fan, known on Imgur as ‘Kelfezond’, was stunned at the arrival of the live creatures because he was sure that snakes laid eggs.
Bought from a man in Wolverhampton in 2011, he says he loves having his Boa Constrictor, Pandora, who is now 12 years old. But he grew concerned when she stopped eating and said no to her favourite snacks, including mice, guinea pigs and chicken.
Then one morning he turned on the lights and spotted the little additions at the bottom of his bed.
He says: “Boa Constrictors are one of the few snakes that do have live-born babies , so now I was stuck with 36 baby snakes inside her cage, I had no idea what to do. Safe to say I freaked out.”
