In the spirit of the holiday season, MultiChoice Nigeria is pleased
to announce the addition of six local based channels in Lagos to its
DStv and GOtv platforms from 15 December 2015. These
channels are Television Continental (TVC), which will offer TVC News
Nigeria, TVC Entertainment and TVC News; Galaxy TV, Wazobia TV and
Wazobia FM.
TVC News Nigeria, TVC Entertainment and TVC News will
be available on DStv, while TVC News Nigeria, TVC Entertainment, Galaxy
TV, Wazobia TV and Wazobia FM will be available on GOtv. The channels
will be available to Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Family and Access subscribers on DStv and on Plus andValue subscribers on GOtv.
TVC
will be the premier destination for contemporary, quality
entertainment, news and information in Nigeria and across sub-saharan
Africa. TVC News Nigeria will be on DStv channel 418 and GOtv channel 45 andTVC Entertainment on DStv channel 193 and GOtv channel 27. TVC News will be available to only DStv subscribers on channel 417.
Galaxy Television will broadcast current news, from Nigeria, Africa and the rest of the world and will be on GOtv channel 99. Wazobia TV on GOtv channel 98,
is a family entertainment television channel bringing the best
innovative and inspiring content while its sister company, Wazobia FM
radio station (GOtv channel 303) brings a vibrant blend
of indigenous artists from all over the African continent infused with
global and national news, topical issues, sports, interviews, games and
entertainment gist, all delivered in PIDGIN language.
The channels
join the growing number of Nigeria’s local channels on DStv and GOtv.
Other free to air stations on DStv and GOtv include; NTA I, Channels TV,
Africa Independent Television (AIT), SilverBird Television, Lagos
Television and ONTV MAX.
Managing Director, MultiChoice Nigeria,
John Ugbe speaking on the new development said it will further boost
African programming on the company’s platforms. He also noted that the
new channels will provide subscribers with broader holiday entertainment
options.

subscribers. We are constantly driven to ensure that all subscribers are
satisfied with the total offering and are always looking for ways to
increase their satisfaction”, he said.
TVC channels,
Galaxy TV, Wazobia TV and Wazobia FM will be available from 15 December
2015 to Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Family and Access subscribers on
DStv as well as GOtv Plus, Value and Lite subscribers.
