Security men from a company
called Bad Boys security and some street cleaners helped a woman in
labour deliver her baby on a pavement. The incident played out at Hillbrow area of South Africa, in the early
hours of Friday, December 18. Bad Boyz' Hendrik de Klerk told News24
that a security officer was called to help after an expectant mum was
about to deliver at the entrance to a building just after 1am in the
dead of the night.
"We rushed to the scene and called an ambulance. The ambulance arrived,
but the baby boy was already born with the help of street cleaners and
Bad Boyz guards."
De Klerk said female Pikitup cleaners were doing amazing work in the
area. "They walk alone at night, cleaning dark streets - where the
street lights are always off. We always keep an eye on them," he said.
"There are amazing people in Hillbrow, it is truly a great town. It is
just the building hijackers and a few skelms giving it a bad name."
