Rihanna denies she's launching range of weed products dubbed MaRihanna

Rihanna has denied that she's to launch her own range of weed products. The singer, who's set to release her eighth studio album , had been linked to the project after a statement surfaced on 18KaratReggae.

It claimed that Rihanna was moving ahead with the business venture, cleverly dubbed MaRihanna.
The statement read: "MaRihanna by Rihanna is truly the first mainstream cannabis brand in the world and proud to be a pioneer. "Marihanna is blazing a trail for the industry.”

The range was said to include marijuana flowers, edibles and concentrates for vapourisers in flavours including Karibbean Kush, Haitian Haze and Jamaica High Grade.

It was loosely tied to a release date 'next year' and was expected to drop in four weed-allowing states Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Alaska.

However according to New York Magazine, Rihanna's reps have confirmed that the statement is completely untrue. Well, that idea quickly went up in smoke. We have contacted Rihanna's reps for further comment.

In the past Rihanna has openly supported the drug and called for it to be legalised. Back in 2003, the songstress even posted a picture of herself smoking with the caption "#legalizeit."

The report appears to have gained so much momentum in light of Snoop Dogg launching his own line of cannabis products.
