Pensioner sues Apple for £5k after iPhone repair team 'wiped away his life'

A pensioner is suing Apple for £5k after staff allegedly wiped his treasured honeymoon photos while trying to fix his iPhone. Deric White, 68, says he took his iPhone5 to the flagship Apple store in Regent Street last December.

He claims he handed the phone to staff who took it away and then returned it saying it was fixed.
But Mr White was left "livid" and his wife in floods of tears when they discovered all his snaps of their once-in-a-lifetime trip to the Seychelles were gone.

The retired ad man said as well as their holiday snaps, including a video of a giant tortoise biting his hand and pictures of African rhinos and elephants, he also lost contacts accumulated over 15 years.
He is now taking Apple to the High Court to force the company to compensate him.
