Couple make their dead son a part of their wedding with specially enhanced family photo

When Anna Bozman Thompson wed her long-term partner Travis Thompson on 9 October they knew that although their whole family wouldn’t be there in body, they’d certainly all be there in spirit.

That’s because their son Lake finally lost his battle with leukemia six months earlier, just a few weeks shy of his 9th birthday.

The couple from Georgia, USA.who also have two other children together, planned to get married years earlier but put those plans on ice when Lake was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia when he was just five.

Although the whole family were utterly devastated by Lake’s death, the couple knew that it was time to honour his long-held wish and finally tie the knot.

And when it came to choosing a wedding photographer, there was only one person in the running.
Photographer Brandy Angel first came into the couples lives when she took photos of the family through her non profit charity for children with cancer called Be the Change Brandy Angel Foundation.

Talking about Anna and Travis’ big day, Brandy told Metro.co.uk: ‘It truly was a perfectly magical day full of love, sorrow, remembrance and new beginnings.
‘Anna was the picture perfect bride and I know Lake was shining down on all of us that day.’
