Obinna Chidoka: A worthy servant-leader

Ever since I became interested in Nigerian Politics and its politicians, One erudite fellow has caught up my ire. The young and dynamic politician in the Person of Mr. Obinna Chidoka has been of late, what a politician should be. His style of politics transcends above party lines and goes beyond tribal enclaves. In the north, he is there; talking about the west, He is seen; even here in the east, his image looms large. My friend calls him THE PAN NIGERIAN.

For those of you that do not know this young fellow, now listen. Hon Obinna Chidoka is the member representing Idemili North/south federal constituency in the House of Representatives, National Assembly. The Obosi born politician is one of the youngest politicians to ever grace the Green Chambers of the national assembly as an honorable member. He brings with him a style of leadership that is never before seen in this part of the world. He is a politician par excellence.

Obinna Chidoka is the younger brother to Osita Chidoka, Nigeria’s erstwhile Federal Road Safety Boss and the Immediate past Aviation Minister. Talking about achievement, He does not need to blow his own whistle, as his projects are very visible even to the blind. Ask any Indigene from Idemili North/South and you will find the answer that you seek.

What Nigeria needs at present is the crop of politicians that puts the nation first before selfish cum personal interest. The nation needs vibrant, energetic and youthful leaders that know their onus and what it takes to adequately deliver. We need the sort of servant-leaders that is ever ready to chase the ball whenever the whistle is blown; Obinna is that sort of man. The young Obinna needs to come above being a regional or state politician, to being at the national stage. Yes, we need him there.

We don’t celebrate mediocre; we celebrate icons that impacted positively in the lives of ordinary constituents, that is why we celebrate his honorable – Mr. Obinna Chidoka. He is an icon and he is worthy to be celebrated.
